camp hyatt
experience a fun-for-all vacation with our camp hyatt kid’s program.
Give the kids a day to remember with an array of activities at Camp Hyatt Kauai. Our Kauai Hawaii lodging offers a fun, active program exclusively for keiki (children) ages three to 12. Fun loving counselors fit the day’s schedule to the group’s interest with everything from Koi fish feeding to lei making. Integrating play with culture, kids learn through art about endangered Hawaiian monk seals and Nene (Hawaii's state bird), and through crafts about palm frond weaving like Native Hawaiians of old. A splashing good time will be had at the pool and waterslide (always a favorite!) at our family friendly Kauai vacation lodging. Other fun activities include shell bracelet making, hula lessons, volcano making, or Parrot Talk, an interactive session about our beautiful parrots, where they can even hold the bird on their arm!
Get up close and personal with our resident parrots; Niele (Hyacinth Macaw), Rico (Green Winged Macaw), Duke (Blue and Gold Macaw), and Malie (Moluccan Cockatoo). Each day, these friendly birds are perched in the expansive lobby atrium for our guests to visit with. Monday through Friday at 10:00a.m. some of the parrots are brought into Seaview Terrace for the exciting and interesting "Parrot Talk" program, led by our wildlife attendant. Learn all about these fascinating creature’s mannerisms and personalities, which are amazingly human-like. This is especially fun for kids of all ages, and photographs are greatly encouraged.
